Live Fire vs Dry Fire

For a new or aspiring gun owner, repetition can mean a considerable amount of ammo is used to perfect a trigger press. With the current ammo shortage and the high costs of available ammo, dry-firing is an affordable training alternative and prerequisite to getting a firearm of your own. Because of this widely known fact, it’s best to practice dry firing or invest in a SIRT weapon to practice with.

What is Dry Firing?
Dry fire is a technique anyone can practice at the range or at home. Dry firing is simply the practice of shooting a firearm without ammunition in the chamber. The firearm owner pulls the trigger, and the hammer drops, but nothing happens.

Why you should get a SIRT weapon prior to a Firearm?
A firearm is designed to shoot, so you should always treat every firearm as if it is loaded 100% of the time even if someone clears it in front of you. A SIRT weapon is an amazing teaching methodology: SIRT or Blue guns are great tools to teach your brand new students their first contact with firearms.
